where you dynoing at crewcab? At moonlight or is there somethin else goin on down there? I'm not totally sure that the ksb will add 20 more horse, I've never dynoed before, but i have mine hotwired and you can tell it does advance the timing a little. When i turn it on when its idling, I can hear the idle sound change a little bit so it does advance it a little. Its pretty easy to hotwire it, just run a wire from your battery to a switch and another wire from the switch to the KSB. Good luck on the dyno, let us know how you do.

Good luck crewcabxlt. Oh and send the RAIN this way-no rain in about 2 1/2 months and it's 102 in the shade. 107 out in the truck yard today. Hay? it's all dead for the most part around here. Anyways good luck with your dyno run.

From a site about the VE pump (note: CSD = Cold Start Device; KSB is basically the same meaning but in Germormon):

"Another CSD, called the KSB (a Bosch designation), advances injection timing by controlling supply-pump pressure. A KSB control valvemounted on the side of the pump overrides the pressure regulator, increasing supply-pump pressure and advancing injection timing. For example, if the temperature is below the set value of the temperature switch, the switch closes and the KSB solenoid switches on. This increses pump pressure. Above a preset value, the temperature switch opens, the KSB solenoid opens, and the pressure regulator now controls supply-pump pressure."

Keep us updated, also let us know what the KSB thing does, if anything. On my truck I have it off on the dyno usually "just in case."

364.4 hp at approx. 2600 rpm, held pretty flat to around 3000, ksb off, fuel pin (cone) on ground side. egt between 1300-1400, boost north of 40 psi. run # 2, tow/ economy set-up, 331.5 hp, same rpm range, ksb powered, fuel pin rotated to shallower side. egts 1100 + but didnt hit 1200,boost 38 psi, were its wastgated. pretty happy with numbers, i feel the ksb trick did help. on the street it felt a little better too when testing. will post more info when i get time
