A turbo with a smaller housing is going on this week. Also I want to try and make up some kind of ram air duct to help it breathe easier on the hwy. Also one other thing to mention I seen a big jump when I put a fresh air filter on my truck. Its just a stocker but I did notice it on the boost gauge and in the MPG. Something else for you all to check. Every little bit counts these days.

I put in a homemade cold air intake system, increased my MPG from 15.6/17.5 to 18.9/21. Cost all of $58 and a coupld of things i had lying around the house.
I bought the Dry AFE filter element designed for the 94+ trucks from autoanything.com, $58 including shipping. I took a piece of aluminun diamond plate I had from an old tool box and cut it with a jig saw to make a seperate and larger compartment where the old air filter had been, cut a hole in it and used a thin walled 4" pvc pipe coupling throught he hole and the original rubber intake hose fit it perfectly on the outside of the diamond plate and the AFE filter fit it on the inside. cut a bit of the radiator support out in front to allow more cold air to enter the compartment. got a little more power, hear the turbo whine a bit, and the MPG gain is very noticible.

My worst tank was 21.5 and my best is 23.75. Not to bad i guess, would like to see 25 some time!!
