Re:Making it a 4-wheel drive ????

Yes it does, It pulled to the right even before I swapped the front hub from 3/4 to 1ton. I even swapped tires from some 215s that were on it originaly to some 235s.

I parked it on a real good level concrete floor at work and took a two foot level on the front tires and the left one is dead nut plumb, the right isriding the inside line so that tells me that tire is leaning out. The bushings are all tight,no slack whatsoever.

Im no expert but if that tire is leaning out then its riding on the outside of the tread so I can see how that would make that tire want to go right hence the pull to the right. Am I right here???

I took the top and bottom caps off and couldnt see any way to adjust it in or out. Stopped by the front end shop and he said about $80 bucks t check toe in and install the right side camber adjuster. Does this sound reaonable?? He said it shouldnt need over 1 degree in adjustment but could get up to 1 1/2 degree if it needs it.

I think this is the problem, but if not Im used to being wrong ;D

your thinking makes sense to me. I don't know how long it takes to install an adjuster or what they cost, but $80 doesn't sound too bad

Re:Making it a 4-wheel drive ????

When you took your level meausurements, did you measure against the wheels and roll the wheels 1/2 turn and average the results (to correct for any imperfections in the wheels, and make sure that you weren't thrown off by the bulge of the tires at the bottom)?

Also -- my understanding is that it is really unequal castor that will cause pull in the steering, the camber doesn't affect it so much. Of course, if your camber is off on a solid axle, it will affect your castor . . .

If you take it to the shop, can you post all of the details of what the before and after specs were, and what they did to correct it?

Thanks,

Alec
