lucas oil additive....

i am about to change the oil... i am going to be running rotella T using a WIX filter, should i use the Lucas Heavy Duty Oil Stabilizer. i ran 1 quart with the last change to try to increase my oil pressure a little... should i run it or leave the rotella alone?

I like Lucas products, I really do. The problem I have with it, the next time you see a Lucas tester, spin the fire outa it, and look at all the air bubbles in the oil, and be assured its gonna do much worse slinging around in your crankcase. I use the Fuel Additive, and have had the PS stop leak, stop my leak, and make the PS feel better, even after new oil was replaced, but im not sure how it does in an engine.

Whether thats a concern or not, I dont know. But Airated(sp?) oil is not good at all.

Cummins does not recommend the use of oil additives. Lucas=snake oil.

I ran some in my wifes Grand Cherokee. T^he oil pressure at a warm idle fell near 0 !!!!.
Took it out ( changed it ) and had normal pressure again.
I won't use it in the Cummins.

I use two quarts every oil change and my pressure increased, I like it because it is extremly slick and sticky it does a good job of staying in the bearings when the truck is shut down, its so slick if it gets on your hands it hard to hold on to anything

I use the lucas products in just about everything. My neighbor is a diesel mechanic and told me that he had a road tractor that had just over a million miles on it. It needed a quart of oil every morning before it hit the road. With the lucas in it, less than one quart a week was then needed. That was several years ago, and its still on the road.

My almost 300K mile chevy 6.5td likes it allot.
My wifes 280K mile 95 gmc safari van had a noisy lifter, till lucas got put in it.
Had an 85 s15 Jimmy, lucas was the best thing I put in the tranny.
