lost of smoke no start

ok iv rebuilt this 89 w350 12 valve. the last part is the ve ip pump witch i had rebuilt at a very well respected shop. i reinstalled it today got fuel shooting out of all the injectors and loads of white smoke but that's all.

advice please

Wires hooked up correctly? Maybe describe the issue a little more in detail...

found the problem when i installed the IP gear it pushed the key out of the shaft so it was 2 teeth out of time luckly the dident fall in the gears it just hid behind the gear in the casting marks. but i sis get the old gear started and purring like a kitten. but i am still getting a little blueish white hase at idle. im thinking old fuel.
