I'd just say 'If it's such a piece of junk... why bother even keeping it?' Trust me, if you want it bad and show enough interest, I'm guessing he'd cave pretty easy. Unless he keeps it just so he can have something to rave about

Even if you can't get it just wait things out and another will pop up soon enough. Maybe one that's a better 'bang for the buck' price, who knows?

No one here is more of a chevy guy than me. I own a 2000 Z28 6 speed with a TR224 cam, full SLP exhaust, whisper intake. A 99' Blazer with a T72 turbo with 32/11.50 MTS. A 2000 Silverado Ext Cab with some Lingenfelter goodies and a 225hp shot. The big Silvy is way faster than the Z28 even. And then there is the 98 Saturn gas saver and finally the new addition Cummins. To me its not a Dodge truck, its a Cummins truck. J/K

Mine has 236k + miles on it with the stock auto and it doesnt show any signs of wanting to let go. I say go for it, but look around for a good deal first, there out there.

Ya know, i bet this cummins out lasts every one of my other toys.

Too bad your not closer to Texas. There is a 93 Extended Cab with Camper with only 103k miles. Looks in near perfect condition. Only wants $6500. Probably gone by now though. They go quick. especially in that good of shape and price.

Yeah, you could end up with something like DODGE92

I looked in his gallery and he has been playing with the timing as you can see.

BUT

IT ONLY HAS 5 INJECTORS !!

No wonder it was cheap, uhhhh I mean less expensive then others.

Lmao, yeah they tend to be cheaper when parts are missing. Anyways I'm going to keep looking for a 90-93 250 4X4 that reasonably priced and in decent shape. If I can't find one, I'll talk to my relative about selling his (that is a last resort).

Just bought a '90 250 4WD for $1000......

It was just a case of being in the right place at the right time. Got it from a fella at work getting ready to go through the big "D"..... he didn't have the tools and inclination to fix it, or the money to have a shop do it. And it most definitely needs some TLC...

The Getrag had stuck in 4th, the rear diff pinion shaft bearings are worn and the diff was leaking, and the vacuum pump for the brakes is working at about %10 capacity...

As near as I can tell, it's totally stock. My neighbor has an '03 2500 CTD that he's done some mods to, and he told me about this site. TONS of good info here

This is my first diesel, and first Dodge....by inclination, I'm a Ford guy, but this was a SMOKIN' deal. The truck has right at 200K on it. After sitting for a month, the motor started immediately and sounded great..I'll post pictures sometime in the near future.
