we sold dad's 90 on ebay for $4000. It had 210k on it, had rust in the rockers and wheel wells, had ok tires. Mechanically it was super strong, had 91 grill, rad, and IC added to it. It's curb appeal wasn't very good though, and I think that's what hurt the price.
I have a guy wanting to buy mine for $5500, but I can't seem to sell it and buy something newer :P Mine is bubbling in the rockers and doglegs now, but I have the metal to fix it. It has 175k on it.

You should be able to get a solid, good running truck for $5k. You may not be able to find anything local for that price. My advice is to do like I did, buy one from Texas off Ebay. Mine cost me $4600 last year, total cost of flying down and driving home came out ot a little over $5k.

I dont mind driving if i can find a good deal. but i dunno about buying a truck off ebay and autotrader.com doesn't really have anything for that price range either. I'm starting to think i sold my old truck way to cheap though.

About 3 years ago I bought a 92 2WD 1 ton dually. I payed $7500, I look back now and think I got screwed. Oh well I have the truck now and love it. I bought a 92 1 Ton 4WD last october for $4000, it needs some work but I can fix it. If you live in Ohio I would think you could find one for less than I payed for mine.
I would talk to Powerwagon440 on chat. He lives within a couple hundred miles of you and is finding trucks all the time for cheap.
Good luck

That's a really nice truck but not worth 10500 IMO. I know thats what a lot of people are asking but if I can't find somethin from 4$- 7000$ i guess ill have to buy a chevy.

buy a what? a chevy? what could they possibly offer? you couldn't touch a Duramax for $5K...not even a downpayment! And, they're 6.2 and 6.5's are pieces of crap. if you are looking for a 1st gen, then put out the money for it. i bought my D250 almost a year ago for $7k. He wanted $10k, but he was in a hurry since he had already purchased a new one and needed the money. Never settle, just put it out and even your commuting hours on the road will be spent in something you like!

I'm only 19 years old and I bought the truck in my sig with my own money but b/c of insurance expense I put it in my parents name but now I have to buy something to put in my name with minimum insurance on it. So I figure what would be better then another Cummins to drive back and forth from college on the weekends. And thats why I cant spend 10 grand on a truck even if its worth it for one i dont have the money, and it's just gonna be a second truck for me I will prolly not drive it all the much.

Mine is posted in my gallery. I paid over $12,000 two years ago. It's a fully loaded 93LE club cab dually with 5th wheel
That's Canadian funds. In U.S. exchange rates- it equals $72.38
Just kiddin!
I just turned 233,000 kms which is 145,625 miles.

There was a guy in town a couple of weeks ago was trying to sell a 93 3/4 ton with 67,000 original miles!! the truck was clean with newer paint, had a cap over the bed, I looked in and not a ding in it. He was asking 9900.00 obo ..... I was thinking of 7500.00?? never called him I have 2 trucks already and 1 driver! Just what I need another 1
2nd find was a 1999 3500 with 48K original miles the old boy died 82 years old the wife was asking 16K again I looked at it not bad has extras too 5th wheel hook up extra tank running boards and so on. noticed a little blow by though?? not sure why but I don't thin it was a big deal it looks like the truck was sitting most of it's life

There have been several clean, but higher mileage (250k+) W250 automatic trucks on ebay in recent weeks. None of them have topped $5000, and none have reached reserve.
