lift pump price

My local big rig truck dealer just quoted me $176.00 for the 3936320 lift pump. Is this what you guys have been paying? Is there anywhere else that's cheaper? I couldn't find one on fleabay. Thanks.

I got my piston lift pump set-up from Oregon Fuel Injection. Not the cummins part, but a Delphi pump. I got the pump, spacer and gaskets for $84. It's not on their website, you need to call and talk to someone, but they have it.

I replaced mine last week. Now I'm struggling with the fuel pump. Lots of wrench time and NO spare time.

Just to make sure, we're talking about the low pressure lift pump, not the 2nd gen lift pump, right? This one https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/...ad.php?t=93722

4988751 or 393620 do not need a regulator, but has a lower GPM rate.
4988747 does and has a higher GPM rate.
Not sure were the 393616 fits in this.

The price I was quoted was for the Cummins/Carter pump. Does anyone have any experience with the Delphi pump? Is it just as good? What brand pump are you getting for $45-$70?

I've got a couple thousand miles on my Delphi pump so far....no problem as of yet. Even if I have to replace it every couple years at $65 a pop I can handle that.

I started two threads about this same topic, the right part #'s and where to order are on this threads as well. There is a lot of confusion regarding this pumps, their pressure (many area afraid of blowing the Injection pump front seal) and where to get them from since their prices vary a lot.

Moderator, is it possible to trim the threads so when someone looks for this information using the search box doesn't end up reading several different threads where some are a bit confusing about which is the right pump to order?

Thank You.

That looks like the lift pump off a 580 Super M Case backhoe.

I bought my pump, fuel line, banjo seals and gaskets from Cummins. The pump ran me $186 and it's a genuine Cummins pump. This was last August (2009) and not a problem since.

Then I guess that's the going price for the Cummins pump. That's only $10 off what I was quoted. What brand are the pumps you guys are getting for under $100? All Delphi? There are several pumps on fleabay that look identical and are for farm equipment and they're listed as Cummins/Case, but the part #'s are weird. Does anyone know the intended application for the low pressure piston pump? That would help with looking it up and making sure it's the right one.
