Sounds like the big o-ring around the pump head. You can replace that while on the truck if you get some bolts @ 10mm longer than what is in the head. You can slowly back out the head until you see the o-ring and get it out with some picks. The kit is the dk-121, check the other pump threads to make sure of that....

Interesting... this is exactly where mine is leaking from as well. These are known for giving out? Mine is dripping right down over the PS pump.

There is also an O-ring located on the opposite side of the KSB-valve that can't be seen or serviced with the pump on the engine.

The best thing is to study all the excellent threads on re-sealing the pump; then, pull the pump and replace EVERY seal.

If one is leaking, it is only a matter of time before more start.

It seems like extremely cold weather will also start leaks that are borderline.

Cool part #

Hey Mike,
The dodge parts dept. doesn't have dk-121 for a part # and NAPA doesn't have a # that crosses. Which store might that part # be from?

Look in the yellow pages for diesel services. You want to find a bosch dealer...aka a pump rebuilder. Most diesel shops will have em'.

Thanks again Mike
I just got the pump out about an hour ago. I haven't worked on a diesel before and just wanted to see what it looks like. I pulled the back off of the pump to find the o-ring with some cracks in it. Cummins parts dept is closed today so I'll try again tomorrow.

Can't get it from Cummins, you need to get it from a Bosch pump shop.
