leaking pods

Any of you that have changed out your injectors have fuel leaks from the changeout? Mine are leaking from the threaded area, and at 1st I thought it was the copper horseshoe shaped washers on the return line, but no, it is coming from where it threads into the port. How do I tighten these w/o removing the high pressure lines and return line washers??

If you clean out the bores good, make sure there is not an old copper washer left in the bore, use new copper tip sealing washers, torque the hold down nuts to 44ftlbs, you shouldn't have any leaks from the injector bores.

It's tough to get a big 22mm wrench on the hold down nut with everything in the way to check to see if they're tight. It's best to remove the fuel lines and use a deep socket and torque wrench.

You are correct, and at the same time I was afraid that that would be the only resolution. I tried a crows foot and that can't seem to budge it. The 1st steps on cleaning out the bores, etc. were done, and I guess I've gotta bite the bullet and pull all injector lines and fuel return lines off and just get another 1/4 turn out of the hold down nuts. Can the new copper horseshoe washers be reused? I just put those babies on a month ago. Thanks in advance.

The return washers will usually reseal. There's not a whole lot of pressure there.
