Post Larger line to the AFC

Would there be any advantage for me to increase the size of the steel line from the manifold to the AFC housing on my VE pump to anything larger than the small steel line it has now?

Would this cause the decent of the AFC diaphragm to respond any quicker or could it hurt my performance.

Is there any designed restriction in the cover to allow the air to bleed out slowly to control the ascent of the fuel pin I would be messing with?

Thanks.
Jim

I don't think it would hurt anything, if you look inside the housing where the banjo goes in I believe it is reduced quite a bit. When I put my valet switch in I actually drilled the hole out on the inside closest to the diaphram to a larger size just to let more air in. I think that it would allow it to respond faster that is why I did it. But I don't know the exact design or the way it is suppose to work.

I just replaced mine with 1/4"when I did my valet and swear it responds faster...I think the turbo is spooling faster now when I mash it...maybe quicker response of the aneriod?

Getting rid of the banjo bolt wouldn't hurt, but I don't think the tubing needs to be significantly larger. I can't imagine anything responding quicker than one of these trucks with a 3200 RPM spring - well, besides a p-pumped truck with a 4k GSK.
