KRB will have to fill you in on what you're looking at, as I'm just the monkey posting photos.

Cool. Thanks monkey - I mean NJTman!
The first are Dodge's prototypes for the Cummins. Including the red D001 which was THE first and they restored around 2010ish. Not sure of the story on the biodiesel one. They had old photos of test thrashing the 4X4s.
In the middle of all of those is the immaculate W300 crew cab from Canada with the 6BT. Compound turbos, 24 gauges, on and on. I thought I'd get more pictures but didn't see him on the last day. You can find his build over on TDR. If I can find it again I'll add a link. It's been a while...
The red one was elusive, from Canada too but I could never find the owner. The odometer said 019,XXX and the inside of the bed looked it, still shiny and hardly any scratches and no dents. It had just received some kind of under treatment. It was all dark and oily and there was over spray on the body in places.
The last two photos is of mine. I was the only one to show up the last day for the "Shoe & Shine" but then it was drizzling rain. I think I counted 8 1st Gens all in all, not counting the ones FCA owned, out of a little over 200 trucks total.

Dad and I toured the Cummins plant there and got to test drive the 2019. This was his 3rd time and my second.
The 2019 motor is 80% new (some due to redesign but some just due to collateral changes). A lot of parts are now hollow, billet aluminum or both. This engine finally has hydraulic lifters. The block is compressed carbon now and required all new tooling. Impressive plant and really nice people.

It would be great to score a couple of those "Cummins Power" badges seen on the red-over-white one...I checked Amazon, and the Cummins Store, but no luck......Ben

Hey, does anyone know what's up with the green serpentine belt on the Cummins in the last pic? I have never seen anything like that and kind of feel like I may be missing out on something and I just can't live with that. ...Mark Nevermind, I found it, it's a Gates and are for '94 and up. As they say here in Mexico: Chin!!!!!!!

What Maybe368??? You don't have a Heavy Duty green belt?!?!? I got it from Geno's https://www.genosgarage.com/product/...080830hd/belts. Come join the club!
Not sure where FCA got those badges, did you check Mopar Fordzilla? They weren't offering them there during the Rally.
Yea Oliver, pop is 79 this year so have to make the most of the days that are left!

I'm a half breed...you know, like Cher. Half any which way but loose, half Cheeta.
