Killer Dowel Pin

Did the first Gen Trucks have this problem with the dowel pin? I am sure they did.
I am asking because I am not sure if my truck had it fixed or not. I will be taking the front end cover off soon to inspect and fix it. I want to be sure of this and have a piece of mind knowing it is done.I will also inspect my radiator and change out the coolant and thermostat. I would rather do all of this at one time. Does anyone know the Torque on these bolts for the front cover when putting this back together?

While you're at this, it's not hard to pull the rad for easier access for the KDP work. My experience with rads is "when in doubt, replace the rad".

I will be pulling the Radiator to do this, it makes it easier and gives you more room.
I did find out the torque for the front cover bolts

Rad is easy to pull
Makes the KDP much easier
I don't remember the torque but is around 20 ft lb +/-
Don't go ape on them
Cheers
