Kelderman, Lift Shackles....Need help
Today i crawled underneath my truck for the heck of it. I started looking at the Kelderman air ride and i got very confused to say the least. If i were to put longer shackles on, would it lift it or lower it? sounds like a dumb question but if i had a picture it would be easier to explain. The leaf spring is above the shackle and the shackle is sitting above the bracket for the air ride. If anyone has a picture of the kelderman setup it would be much appreciated if you could post it on here.

well, I think it partially depends on the arch of the spring. Longer shackles will allow you to clear the cross bar with a more arched spring, so you might lose a little with the taller shackle, but the lift spring would make up for it. With a stocker spring, I guess you would lose height. To get height a shackle flip would be needed.

I just want to get a couple extra inches of lift. What would happen if i flipped the shackles that are on there now and basically ran the kelderman setup upside down?

They wont flip straight down I think, you would have to build what is on top, on the bottom. Just build a mount for the shackle on the bottom, and flip it. You would net more than a couple inches though.

If i fabbed up some shorter shackles that would help to limit the increase of lift, but i know its still going to be quite a bit. any suggestions?

i guess what i could do is loose the block, find a way to run the system upside down, and let some air out of the airbag. If it still sits higher then i wanted well then its time for lift springs in the front and some bigger tires
