That is a K&N for 7 years, with delo 15-40 every 3 months or 3 k. I should of taken pictures of my crossover, seriously filthy though. Now that I have the new intake and outerwears, Im going to be doing the white glove test periodically.

Nice dude, well I have to hand it to you that is proven evidence that the K&N properly used will not leave you with a dirty oily intake, or a silica filled engine.

I love the S&B filters, the universal BHAF's are like 35-40 bucks and they filter really good.. The key to oiling them is letting them dry real good before installation... I always put them out in the sum for a few hrs to get real nice and tacky.. I use spray oil that I use on my dirtbike filters and never had a problem.. A little oil sucking through the system exspecially on our old rigs isn't gonna hurnt anything.. I would rather suck a little oil than dirt...

Anyone have any thoughts on AmSoil air filters. I have heard alot of good things about them. And I too would never own another K&N.

From: anderson commiefornia oh ya you can keep the "change"
i don't know how true this is but.......
the engine requires a certain amount of CFM (cubic feet per minute)
so the BAHF is really big so you get lots of CFM and GOOD filtration
the K&N or AFE pr whatever is smaller but to get the high CFM'S they compromise filtration. kinda makes sense to me
now i am not knocking the K&N because i run one on my ford f150 and quad neither has had a problem yet so its all upon what YOU think is best for YOUR applacation!

but thats just my 2 cents
