well, winter is upon us in maine! with all that sub-arctic temps comes all kinds of interesting probs. i was driving into work and was noticing that i wasn't really get much heat the engine was up to temp but getting warm to cold air. didn't think to much of it. what caught me off guard was when i slowed down to a stop the engine temp gauge started to drop significantly. as i speed back up the gauge started to climb again... usually it is the other way around if its the thermostat. any ideas before i dive in? it was about mid teens this morning.

 

Try a piece of cardboard in front of the radiator.

 

i was going to try that tonight. hopefully thats all i need.
