Just a little truck porn
That’s a tough spot to be in. I can see both sides. A pristine vehicle that cannot be replicated and is revered and coveted so store it and save it. But on the other hand it is yours to enjoy while you are alive on this earth.
What would you do if you lived in the middle of no where with no one to judge you? Would you enjoy driving it or enjoy looking at it?
I have similar struggles with Power Wagons...

I kinda hate to be that old fool down the road that has the nice first gen he never drives LOL
I will get some pics of that when I get done cleaning the dust and stuff out, the old boy added quite a bit of stuff to the truck (lot's of extra wiring for lights and stuff) but did a nice job of it.
I think one of the biggest problems I'm having is I remember looking at and driving quite a few of these rigs back in the mid-90s with low miles and I don't think that even then I ran across one as nice, (or expensive)or as well cared for this one has been, so it's being kind of a moral (if you could call it that) dilemma for me LOL. Maybe I should start a thread where everyone could vote to either store it and only use it a couple of times a year or just drive like a truck, enjoy it and forget about the condition.

Personally, I would use it as much as possible, avoiding all SALT roads, wintry conditions, parking lots, other cars, deer.... etc.
Put it away over the winters, but otherwise, keep it shiny.
It was built to be driven, and enjoyed. Sunny days, here I come !
You have other trucks to use during the crapo weather. They need loving too !
me?

You nailed it there T-man.
I have similar thoughts with some of my super clean Dodges... BUT at the end of the day, I built them to be driven, not sit in the shop like some over grown Hot Wheel cars I collect.
Take care of it Vernon, but drive it [Princess, I believe she is called...] with a big smile on your face as much as possible.
I agree with Freighttrain, those side view mirrors are not likely to be an OEM option. I have never seen any on the 1st gens I have owned, either.
I got past the whole having a nice truck thing awhile ago. Mine needs lots of body work but has been just so **** dependable. Its Ieen slowly evolving into a farm truck and been saving up to build a flatbed. I avoid the salt roads as much as possible. I currently drive a ,$400 accord daily. It sure has saved me a lot in fuel.
Well if you decide not to keep it, I have a daily driver that I would take a hit and swap you for it, just cause I am that nice of a guy
Oh and since I am close, I could even be talked into driving to you. Just let me know.....
(Dang that thing is pretty!) Nice find.

Well you can count me seriously jealous. I don't know where in NE Wa you are, but I would love to see it up close some day, if you ever get to Mead (where I work) or Post Falls, (where I live), give me shout.
