Just filled up with $3.71 Diesel
I suppose that it's not that hard to figure out, it's price gouging at it's finest. I posted in my diesel in Mexico thread that we import more oil from Canada than any other country. Why are they exporting all that oil, when the price of fuel there is so much higher than here? That of course is a rhetorical question...Greed, avarice or whatever word one wants to use. Billions in profit and the little guy gets it in the tail end. Here is a socialist comment for you, we should nationalize all oil companies, like Mexico did in the 1920's and keep the price down, like Mexico does. I often wonder which countries are actually 3rd world...Mark
Synthetic lube in the axles helps. We don't get a winterized fuel blend here but I have heard that it dosen't help the mileage much either.
You can also try running a good fuel system cleaner if you aren't already doing so.
If you want to get serious about mileage, get a new higher efficient torque convert. I think the stock one is only around 67% efficient. That is unless you have the very rare A618 transmission.
