Never mind the price of diesel. I just bought a 2011 2500 Laramie that cost $15000 more Canadian dollars than your American dollars. Even though they are even money. Figure that one out.

Every time I drive by a pump it seems to be higher, this is crazy, said when you have to swipe your credit card twice to fill the truck .

One benefit of the high price of oil will be that the cost of having everything made in China and shipped to North America will increase. Maybe we'll get some jobs and quality products back....

Billions in profit and the little guy gets it in the tail end. Here is a socialist comment for you, we should nationalize all oil companies, like Mexico did in the 1920's and keep the price down, like Mexico does. I often wonder which countries are actually 3rd world...Mark
Actually I believe we supply Mexico with a good amount of ULSD,at least along the border. Mexico's nationalized Pemex isn't efficient enough to keep up. With the increased sales tax revenue from the price of gas, maybe Cali will pull itself out of debt. Wait, higher energy costs=less money for goods and services.

If your running a stock torque converter there isn't a lot to do except the usual stuff, keep your tires aired up tight, bump your timing a little, drive like there is a raw egg between your right foot and the fun pedal and keep the air filter clean.
Synthetic lube in the axles helps. We don't get a winterized fuel blend here but I have heard that it dosen't help the mileage much either.
You can also try running a good fuel system cleaner if you aren't already doing so.

If you want to get serious about mileage, get a new higher efficient torque convert. I think the stock one is only around 67% efficient. That is unless you have the very rare A618 transmission.

A smaller exhaust housing helps a lot also.

Being prevented (censored) from saying who is responsible doesn't make it go away. But who is responsible? I could tell you, but then I'd have to get banned.
