I am a chevy man too. I have a 1977 chevy 3/4ton 15" lift 44" boggers, 1979 chevy 3/4ton 4" lift 35" pit bulls, 2000 3/4ton 12" lift 37" nitto mud grapplers, and the dodge I sold last week. But I am looking at two more 1st gens to buy within 50 miles. It is so easy to do anything to the cummins, if you don't know just ask and someone on here will help out. The 91.5-93 Dodge is still my favorite body style of all.

I've owned trucks since 1970. Every one was a Dodge. The Cummins is a plus.
Fourth truck - all Dodges.
Second Cummins - the first was in a school bus.

There are many loves in my life - one of them is my truck.

i only like it because of the motor, but the body style looks cool, but if it wasnt for the motor and the easyness o fworking on them i wouldnt own it, i would go back to my dmax or another twin turbo ford 6.4,

I made my living for half-a-million miles with my 6.9-powered 1985 Ford pulling BIG loads of cattle.

I swapped in the Cummins and it now pulls a load better than the 6.9 pulled the naked truck.

SO......................., suddenly, we have four Cummins-powered trucks.

I like almost every aspect of my Ford cab/running-gear better than the Dodges; the radiator is HUGE, the electrics are better, the frame and springs are way stouter, the 2wd front components are no comparison for strength and simplicity, compared to the 2wd Dodge; and, consider, my Ford is 1985, four years ahead of the Dodge/Cummins debut.

The 1st Gen. Dodge body does have it's advantages, too.

I can't really understand why, but there is ample room to place three Cummins engines, side by side, between the front fender-wells of the Dodge, making for tons of working room.

There is about a mile of distance between the last valve-cover and the fire-wall, and plenty of space between the front-bumper and the fan-blades; whereas, in the Ford, the last valve-cover is almost under the fire-wall lip, and there is a shiny copper-colored ring on the four-core radiator where the fan has kissed it a few times; still yet, it isn't as bad as the later model trucks of any brand, with half the engine under the windshield.

My intentions are to merge remnants of three early-70s Ford cabs into one LONG custom cab and mount that onto a 1991 D-350 chassis that I just happen to have around; picture six full-size doors with the extended-cab little window/space behind.
