Found out today that the exhaust is crushed half way closed above rear axel, looks like they may have done some hauling after all. This may explain the loss of power.
After crawling all over the truck today it looks to be in very good shape, does have some of the rust above the windshield, not a lot.

When I hear gauges I am not sure what they are for, what exactly are they monitering? Allready installed are a Banks tac and tranny temp gauge.

Believe it or not, thats a factory "clearence crush" ...they all have it. I suggest you buy an aftermarket 4" turbo-back exhaust for around $500 or you could just cut the muffler off and put a 90* on the end of the pipe and run it out the side behind the door , you don't know what you're missing until you cut that big restrictive quiet muffler off there!! your truck will actually scare people when they hear it coming.

Gauges meaning a PYROMETER measuring exhaust gas temp, you mount the probe in the exhaust manifold right here,

this is so you can safely turn up the fuel output without your increased cylinder exhaust gas temperatures from destroying your engien whichh takes alot to do (you need big injectors and alot of fuel for this to happen)

Boost gauge is just so when (if ever) you upgrade your injectors for more fuel output, you don't overspeed the turbo and blow it up.

How loud will it be without the muffler? What if I cut it off after the muffler, would this help? Also I found that there is an oil cooler or tranny cooler with an electric fan under the bed, pretty cool!!

yea thats a rare factory option! its actually a TRANSMISSION cooler...the "super cooling" package...theres been alot of threads on this lately, its a cool option.

cutting it after the muffler, you still have the big ugly muffler there.

unclamp your muffler and take it around the block and see what you think, you'll love the sound

It will be a lil louder but not unbearable. Oh welcome to the forum. The auto trans kills alot of your power. I have a 92 W350 with the auto and a 93 W350 with the 5 speed and the 5speed will run circles around the auto. Read the stickys and read the threads and you will get up to speed pretty quick. If or when you install the pyro look close at Crossy's son pic above and you will notice it is offset, there is a divider in the manifold, you have to drill on one side or the other of it. Just little things like that will make your improvements go smoother. Crossy's son is a youngster but can help you out alot on things on your truck. Don't get me wrong alot of people on here have tremendous knowledge on these ole trucks, but he gathers alot of info for the ole rides and is very good at finding stuff for ya. Good luck and again welcome.

It'll help things out rahter than hurt anything.

The turbo will spool faster meaning it'll be easier to accelerate, and on a 92 that's important because 92's were the only year that got the big "lag-master" exhaust housing.

When you floor it from a dead stop doesn't it kinda feel like it takes a while for the power to kick in ? (what little power does "kicks in")

Thanks for the kind words RollinCoal

Theres a hanger right before the muffler isn't there?

Just buy a universale hanger from the parts store for like $10.

Get a 3" 90* angle pipe and some 3" straight and put it out the side behind the door.
