The needle just flickers, it doesn't really sweep back and forth, but it is definitely not steady. It always stays within the safe range, and it seems to do it more under acceleration. Any thoughts? Sending unit?

 

I would replace the oil sending unit, they have a history of going out and they are not very expense.
