ISSPRO tach on 92

I've looked at the sticky on how to wire these things up, Geno's sent instructions (which I've heard are "backwards?"), plus I bought the tach to OEM wiring harness to make it easy. Well, I thought with the harness, one end would plug into the tach and one into the OEM harness. No such luck. The tach has what looks like 3 poles for wiring, one end of the harness has 4 stripped wires showing and the other end has 5 wires with female ends (that plug into where?) showing. I couldn't be more confused. I enclosed a picture of what I bought. I also purchased the steering column pod to mount the tach in. Tach: ISSPRO R5501 2 1/16". Any help would be appreciated. I don't fool with electrical stuff much so you'll have to explain it to me like you're talking to a 5 year old.
Thanks,
Bill

And this . ..

Oh, and the OEM plug is taped to the side of the wiring harness next to the steering column (mine was). This is looking through the little panel of the dash just under the column . . .

So it looks like you used just four of the five wires in the harness, green, red, black and white. It looks like the black wire is split, goes to left side pole then on to male slide by the light. Am I correct so far? Also, the female ends that come with the harness, are they used on the plug end? Or did you just cut the plug off and splice the wires?
Thanks,
Bill

i had issues originally but i realized that there are two posts on the gauge that must be grounded in order for it to work. one for the gauge and the other for the light.

I'm totally in the dark on this. I've printed off everything in the sticky but nothing is specific. Like that drawing BC847 enclosed, it shows wires going into the back of the guage from a side angle...no idea where they go. There are 5 places on the back of the guage that wires attach, 3 poles and 2 male spades. From what I've seen, I couldn't hook one wire and be sure it's right. I think I'll call Geno's after the holiday and talk to a teck.

That would be spectacular! The instructions I got from Geno's are identical to what BC847 posted (without the hand written notes) but for me it's not specific enough. Then they tell ya that if you hook it up wrong it "may damage the vehicles computer". So I would really appreciate detailed instructions on how to wire it up. Remember, like your explaining it to a 5 year old. I hate electrical projects, even simple ones. Heck, I'd rather pull the head than do any type of electrical work.
Thanks,
Bill
