I am looking for isspro tach instructions

I lost mine, and going to their site does me no good w/o model #'s. I am needing word for word where 1993 oem wires connect to the special isspro tachometer harness. If anyone can link me to the installation instructions to isspro's site or scan their istructions and send them to me, I would appreciate it.

Without knowing what tach you have, try this and see if it points you in the right direction.

On Edit - Still haven't found the the '92-'93 pin out that you need. Isspro shows instructions for all gauges but doesn't list them for the R5501 (the model that I'm guessing you have). Strange.

The OEM factory tachometer plug offers the following:

- 18ga Black = +12vdc for gage lights
- 20ga Orange = 12vdc Common
- 18ga Red = Switched +12vdc
- 20ga Grey w/light blue tracer = Tachometer Signal From PCM

As such the built-in filter component of the adapter is placed in the signal circuit.

Wired as such, the gage WILL NOT function.

The correct wiring has you connect the yellow wire which equates to a direct connection from the trucks PCM to the gage.

As such, the adapter amounts to an expensive 3' piece of four conductor wire with individual connectors on one end (NO molded plug for the OEM connector under the dash as some might think).

Save your money and use your own wire and connectors from Radio Shack.

Guys, thanks a plenty. I used the links to get Isspro's phone number and tech support emailed me all the directions, including a CAD design sheet to manufacture the harness for the tach to tie into the OEM plug. Thanks again.

The plug is to left side of the colum next to the fuse block if you haven't found it. I was just tapping in there for my boost and fuel pressure gauge lights in the pods
