Is there a chance that the tensioner would be able to take up the additional slack in a non i/c belt with an i/c fan hub bracket? I've noticed when removing the belt that the tensioner swings up quite a ways.

Jimbo486,
If you use the i/c core support, radiator, thermostat housing, fan hub with fan, shroud, and upper hose with the non-i/c 90 idler pulley and a/c compressor with support the 5080840 belt will fit by taking off the alternator upper support to get the belt on then putting the support back. From having done this I think that the 5080850 belt would be a better choice being that I did not have that size which is 1 inch longer and should go on with no problem.

It is not the size of the fan pulley, but the location that the different hubs put the fans.
That is why when using the i/c fan and hub you have to use the i/c shroud with the i/c radiator.
Hope this answers your questions.

I do know that the non i/c fan hub bracket pushes the pulley down and towards the driver side more than the i/c hub bracket which looks to drop the pulley straight down. That would yield a shorter belt, wouldn't it? If there's not that much of a difference, that's where I become curious about the tensioner being able to take up the added slack in non i/c belt on the i/c fan pulley. Does that make more sense?

The i/c w/ac is 5080830=83"
The i/c wo/ac is 5080640=64"
The non-i/c w/ac is 5080820=82"
The non-i/c wo/ac is 5080650=65"
You need 84 to 85 inches for what you want to do.

I kept forgetting to mention an important key to my question .

I'm wondering if I could use my existing belt (non i/c with a/c) using an i/c fan hub bracket. As I mentioned before, the tensioner moves quite a bit when removing the belt. So I'm curious if it would take out the additional slack. Sorry to keep going on and on.
