Info on using 2stroke oil in diesel fuel
I understand it's a wear test, but isn't a big reason we do it is for our ve pumps? Our fuel delivery system is a lot different than a common rail, and wasn't designed with ULSD in mind. I've heard that the added lubricity also helps keep o-rings and seals in the pump from leaking. Correct me if I'm wrong.

In a previous job I dealt with a customer that was having pump after pump fail in his older thermo king units; due to ULSD; they started running a mix of ATF in the diesel fuel until the units could be replaced/updated; problem solved; never had another failure. He was the reason I began running ATF in my truck.

i'm saying this
1. lubricity additive is beneficial to our fueling system
2. 2 stroke oil is not the best lubricity additive available.
3. Optilube XPD ~$3 per tank
4. 2 stroke oil ~$1.70 per tank
I've simply read too many charts and stats showing that 2-stoke in diesel is a viable fuel lubricant to completely disavow its effectiveness this late in the game. This is NOT a newly discussed topic.....
But just to be clear, I'm not claiming 2-stroke to be the "best" lubricating product out there either but that its worlds cheaper than some of the stuff available, and merely that its better than running straight ULSD in a pre-2007 truck.
I know there's plenty who prefer other products, but for the prices of what some of these fuel lubricants cost it would be cheaper to simply use ULSD and replace parts as needed rather than spend thousands and thousands using some high dollar fuel additive.
As for injectors, well I changed mine out last year for some RV275's. I've been using 2-stroke for years and the ones I pulled out looked and ran fine.
