I put a quart or two of two stroke oil in a full tank when filling up most the time, in my truck it seems to help it idle smoother and less engine noise. My lift pump is 10x quieter with a little help of two stroke in the fuel also.

I run half a quart per tank (and PS white), and notice the quieter smoother run. Maybe its even quieter if i add a full quart?!

techinically you dont need it with the p7100 as its lubricated by the engines oil....

but i do notice when running on WVO (waste veggy oil) that my truck runs a little bit quieter.

I once thought about running 2 stroke oil, but I thought, No.
Just buy the cheap non detergent, not synthetic, and throw a quart in the tank whenever you fuel up.
Quiets it down, and only costs less than a $1.00 at Dollar General.
If I had the money and it got really cold where I live, I would get the Power Service.

The P7100 plungers and barrels are lubricated by Diesel fuel - the cam and lower plungers are lubricated by engine oil.

The VP44 rotor, head, and plungers are lubricated solely by Diesel fuel.

2-stroke oil is insurance.

I mix it with PS, 1/3 oil to 2/3 PS in a qt bottle, and add 1/2 of that at fill, usually around 1/2 a tank. I don't like it to get lower than 1/2 in the winter.
Does run quieter, smoother, especially cold.

I like to buy the ashless TC-W3 2 stroke @ wally world . Yes it is 2 bux a quart instead of $1. At one quart a tank and about 600 miles a tank I would save 4 dollars every 2400 miles. 2 stroke oil is made to burn. I'll spend an extra 4 bucks. However, that being said, years ago while logging we would just mix our chevron oil (paper sides, metal top, quite a while ago) for our chain saws and worked fine. Either way, cheap oil or cheap 2 stroke, you can't go wrong for the lubrication, IMO.
