Dakota diesel, I'm guessing??? They told my friend that there is no point in a 3200 gov. spring, since he can just adjust the high idle screw for the same effect. After istalling a 32K spring, I can definitely say that they are dead wrong!!!

Uhhh, ding ding ding, you win the big prize! How about a hot dog from the local Get N Go?

Yah, that is exactly what I was told. And the guy has been building pumps in this town for decades.

If your impressed with the spring change, I would get after a 366 spring ASAP...

Don't actually have the truck anymore. The thing I didn't like about the potentiometer thing was that it was 100% speed based. There was no reaction (ie downshifting) when you floored the truck untill the speed dropped enough to kick it out. With the floor switch I tapped it when I wanted it and again when I didn't. No need to take my hands off the wheel or eyes off the road.

Seeing as how this was the 16-yr-old son's truck, I left the 386-spring in there.

I was just curious if the 386 was stock or an upgrade.

Thanks.

The V-Ws turn in the fives with a VE pump; of course, they only weigh about 300# and are four tiny cylinders.

I have seen reference several times to people having 4000 springs.
