Cool I'm rocking a 4 in. downpipe now!

Yeah, so I made a 4 in. down pipe to 5 in. after the T-case. Tommarow I'm going to get the stainless stacks so I just have a 90 Degree dumping out the side of the truck at the cab/bed seam. I would have to say it's CRAZY loud. Do I have to worry about the police getting on my case about it, like them asking about a muffler?

Depends on how you drive it when they are around!

no you don't need a muffler in Pa. and your truck don't smoke enough to attract police attention. if you would look up in the Pa Dot laws it says that a turbochargers are considered mufflers.

What he said, don't hammer on it when you are around a cop and you will be OK. 4 years of straight pipe with no hassles.

I got stopped once cruising down the interstate 4 loud exhaust. I though it was ridiculous! That was right after i put my 4" on and he asked me if there was something wrong with the muffler. It seems to really get loud above 2000 rpm

I know a local cop that went to get his truck inspected and they wouldnt do it because he had strait pipe. The law in texas is the turbo counts as a muffler but his truck was pretty loud. Mine is strait 4" DP to 5" and the single stack. No problems getting inspected here.

They will nab you for "excess emissions" (smoke) in PA though, and its a ticket.... With pods you better watch it .
