Anyone ever have a hard time getting the correct ignition switch for your truck. I ordered a switch from NAPA and it was the wrong one. Turned out the parts guy knew which one I needed and got the right one off of the shelf even though the computer didn't show it as being the correct one.

I searched the O'Reilly and the NAPA websites for the part and they both came up with the same wrong part that the NAPA store ordered for me. Then I went to the NAPA website and typed in the part # of the correct switch that they gave me KS6557 and it showed it being for a DAKOTA, Ramcharger, Dynasty, etc but not our trucks.

Just thought I would share this info with ya'll.

Is yours a tilt or straight column?

 

Tilt and NAPA had that info.

That works on the late model style columns. May not fit your truck #3, depends on the column installed.
