Fuel Tank Vent
I've been meaning to ask where I can get 5/8 fuel-safe hose for my tank vent. I also have a cab & chassis fuel filler thing that need to be replaced and no parts places seem to have anything other than just the caps, which is weird because it should be a generic part.
to add to this thread, how many hose lines come of the cap on top of the fuel tank.I assume this is where the fuel pickup line and return line are.
should there be a line on what appears to be a pressure relief valve also on there?

Here is a pic of the one in my truck. There are only the two hoses the "rollover valve" didn't have a hose on it. The 2 fittings are at 2 O'Clock and the rollover valve is at 6 O'Clock and the plug for the level sensor is at 11 O'Clock.

Any NAPA or parts-store should have 5/8 fuel-hose.
The vent-lines for all THREE of my tanks are 1/2", all TEEed together into one hose that goes up in between the head-rack and sleeper(cab) with the open end U-ed down to keep water out.
What part of the cab-chassis "fuel filler thing" are you having issues with ??
I would just put a bulk-head in the top of the tank and connect a vent-hose there.
Then, use just a plain filler-neck with a NON-venting cap that seals tight and let the vent-hose take care of the venting, but that's just me.

It's BC's Pic and he had the tank out of the truck at the time. There might have been a hose on it before he dropped the tank......
