My cousin had a linear in his truck. When the CB Rambo's came out he would just turn the kicker on and settle the argument. Guys parked near him couldn't watch TV, they would get static on the screen that modulated with his voice and they would hear him on the TVs. He called me one day, said he sold it, he got tired of some of the crap they talk about and got himself a 19DX2. That was several years ago and he still says it's the only time he was ashamed to be a driver.

I had a couple nick names on the High band radio's that were in the public works trucks when I plowed for a town. "Lunch bucket" ( because I always had my cooler with me ) and "one way " ( sometimes I had a one way dust pan plow ). Just find something that fits.

My buddy, wants to get a good cb radio and tune it, he asked me because i have 1 that gets good range. I really don't know a thing about them except you want the antenna on the roof or mirror. Can you point me in the right direction for a good radio and amp setup?

i'm unsure, he likes to spend money on certain things... and is as cheap as a contractor about others.
