I finally did it.
After all of the money and work on the old girl, I finally broke into the 13's in the 1/4 mile. Ran a 13.804 @ 93.93 MPH. I know that's not real fast, but it's a goal that I have been trying for, for a couple of years.

I think it was a set of Cajones to actually DRIVE the truck.
All jokes aside the truck is the hardest running first gen I have seen. Hits like a freight train.
I think with a few tweaks and some timing he'd pickup the big end of the track.
What was your 60' times this weekend??

60' was 1.79 sec. 1/8 was 8.633 1000 was 11.423. And I think that aside from the cajones, the porting and polishing of the head, exhaust, and turbo might have had a little to do with it.

No kiddin'. I have a 340 Duster with a 4sp making around 300hp, the chassis built for the strip and a few aftermarket goodies and that's about all I can presently get it to do.
That massive amount of Cummins torque is what really gets you movin'.

Thank's guy's. Now it's time to shoot for the 12's. I think she might have to be lightened a bit first though. Do you suppose there is a way of making these rigs aerodynamic.

Wow, 13's is fast for a street-driving diesel powered pickup! I would love to get a ride in it!
As for aerodynamics, well, you could build a big plastic Charger Daytona style nose cone for the front!

First.... the man doesn't know ANYTHING about plastic.
He is a whiz with any sort of metal you can imagine.... but after he got through with the transformation.... it'd weigh a few ton more than now.
I bet you can get 12.9x this season. I have a few ideas to run past you... and you need to get that pump off your truck to see why you can't get the fuel screw to go in any further. Maybe take a grinder to a few parts while its out.
