I can see the light!!! Pics

Well, I can see the end to my project in the distant future..lol Got the back end all finished up and moved to the front, did some work inside the cab, fixed the floor and welded up all the holes that the kid had in before me.. I think he used a screw to hold down everything, probably welded up 25 useless screw holes inside the cab... The wife and I "de-rustified" the front axle and rattle canned a rust treatment on there for now.. I still have to put the good stuff on after I clean the rest of the frame and stuff.. Installed the 2.5 skyjacker springs. Made a 2" drop hanger for the front but left the rear shackle alone, just made new ones to the stock length.. The pinion angle worked out perfect without a shim under the springs so I left well enough alone. Put new bushings in the frame shackle mount and while I was burning the old ones out I ate through the fuel lines I was so ******. I had two heat shields up there and still screwed them up.. So I need to get some new ones if anybody has some tips If I should just get some bigger ones while I'm at it or leave the stock ones?? I also have to figure out if I am going to put the cross-over steering on or not.. Might just use stock stuff for now?? My goal is to have it on the road by mid August, I still have alot to do, the major thing is get it painted and switch all the interior around.. But my fried does body work so he is gonna give me a hand.. But here is some pics for yall..

I'm jealous of his concrete floor, walls, and roof to work under; it must be nice.

While you have easy access you might as well replace them with 3/8" lines at a minimum. 1/2" wouldn't be a bad thing if you are planning to go for big power.

Well...I don't plan on getting to crazy right away, but I'm sure it will be a on going addition.. Do you happen to know any part numbers for the 3/8 lines?? the thing that really gets me is, they were brand new lines.. Someone had already replaced them... I don't know what size they are, but they worked great for the time being..lol

Thanks guys for the compliments, I am very **** about my work, that is why it takes so long.. But actually my wife has been helping me keep things cleaned up while I'm throwing tools around...

How were you lucky enough to find her ??

Here is a really good article on how to do the fuel lines RIGHT :

http://www.fordmuscle.com/archives/2...ings/index.php

They will let you read the first page, but you have to subscribe for twenty-bucks to read the rest, along with the entire on-line magazine, back-issues and all, actually a bargain, but I don't have twenty extra laying around.

If you click on TECH(I think), there is a sister article to this one that is all about the various types of fuel-line.

If you decide to go the AN/JIC route, HERE is the place to buy the stuff at poor-boy prices :

http://www.discounthydraulichose.com...e_JIC_s/24.htm

Anything that is not on the sidebar, just type it in the search box and they probably have it.
