Hydraulic Clutch Master Cylinder Location with Pictures

Just a future reference for those who want to convert from an automatic to five speed or those who are doing a crew cab conversion that may have had a mechanical clutch and are upgrading to a hydraulic version. This is from a 1992 Dodge. All measurements are in inches.

First picture is of the bracket that is bolted to the steering column mounting bracket. The greasy blob on the right is the clutch and brake pedal shaft mounting point.

The second picture gives you a reference to check the location of the bracket location in reference to the depth of the face of the bracket in reference to the firewall face. The dimension is .500" measured at the bottom of the slave cylinder mounting hole to the firewall face side of the bracket. Reference point shown is the drawn white arrow to the white dot.

The third picture is just a reference to the hole sizes and locations and reference positions in relationship to the firewall face.

The upper left hole is where the wiring harness for the rear of the vehicle passes through the firewall. The bottom most hole is where the hood latch cable comes through. The upper right hole is the under hood wiring harness to under dash harness pass through connector is located. Hopefully this will be of some future value.
