I have a chance to get a hx40w for cheap how do I find out the specs from the numbers on the turbo?

 

It's gonna have a 60mm inducer, 6- or 8-blade compressor wheel, I can tell you that much. 16cm or 18cm turbine housing.

 

Thqnks jimbo! Do you know if the exhaust housing off my h1c will go on the hx40?

 

Can't say for sure. I know the hx-40 compressor housings can be made to fit the hx-35. Don't know if it would work the other way around or even for the h1c. Did you find an hx-40 for cheap?

 

Yea I can get one cheap just don't know if it is worth messing with or not

 

If its a 6 or 8 blade HX40. Pass on it. Those are not the best of the HX40 line up.

The 7 blade HX40 is the one to look for. Here is a link. On the right side of the page is a flow chart for the HX40 line up. The 6/8 blade fall into the standard class.

Those 6 blade HX40's can go down to a 56MM intake wheel also.
