Not enough time..

How do you guys do it? The only time I get to work on my truck is Saturday and Sunday.. usually it's not enough time for me to get anything done. Between trying to make the lady happy and myself I find while at work I would rather be working on my truck. Sadly that's not going to bring the money in.. just have so much to do on my truck that it's not even funny.

on the plus side, my 1000lb torque wrench came in

Well,

I knew a guy back in high school who claimed he had a torque wrench that big....

Ever hear of Johnny Holmes ? I think he's dead now, but from what I heard, his torque wrench was used the wrong way, and it killed him....

BTW,

Put some crown moldings on those cabinets. They look naked without it.

Same here. So many things to work on and repair but still have family obligations and oh yea, work...

How much does a tool like that cost?

That's exactly what the eggs in my refrigerator say to me every morning, just before they get fried up.....

BTW, I have the SK version of that I bought on Amazon. Cost me in the $400 range, but worth it. I need it for my box truck wheels...

Is that what I might want if I ever have a misguided thought about changing a tire on my rv with the 19.5 rims? The book says something about 450 foot pounds pertaining to the lug nuts.

Yup, or for anything over the max rating of your 1/2'' torque wrench (usually 250ft.lb). The most common is 4:1 ratio so you get 4 times more torque at the socket then at the wrench.

I could cut a short extension in half, and weld each piece to a piece of heavy bar stock 3 feet apart, and use a 250# wrench to get 1000 lb-ft.
