HX35 Oil Line Adapter
HX35 Oil Line Adapter
hey-Hey!!!,
I am putting an HX35 on my 1990. The oil supply line fitting is different and as I understand it, either use a Gen 2 oil line, or find an adapter. Female to accept the Gen 1 oil line and male to screw into the HX35. Anybody know what sizes/type of connectors this needs to mate to? Source for the fitting?
cheers,
Douglas

hey-Hey!!!,
On this I must respectfully disagree; there is the oil line male fitting and the turbo cartridge's female...nothing else. It is a 7-blade HX35 from what has to have been a 24V replacing( soon! ) a baby H1C.
Do all the motors have the same fitting at the oil filter housing?
cheers,
Douglas

if it was from a 2001-2002 24v with an automatic transmission, it's an HY35. 9cm^2 exhaust housing vs the HX's 12cm^2 housing.
My HY35 and my newer HE351CW bolted right up. I can't remember if I had to take something off the H1C or not.
EDIT: upon inspecting my baby H1C on the Utility truck, I see there is no adapter on it. I can't remember if my adapter came off the stock H1C that was on the Dually, or if it was already on the new turbo. Maybe the Baby H1C's didn't have it?

It is an HX35, the HY had a non-divided single scroll, and this one I have is a divided housing. Neither of my baby-H1C have the adapter...

Any idea on the oil line fittings on the engine side all being the same?
cheers,
Douglas

Cummins will be able to get you that adapter for a few bucks though. I don't have a part number but some should be ale to look it up.
