Sandwich oil adapter

Does any one know where I can get a sandwich adapter for my 94 12 valve. It seems you can get one for everything except a 5.9 Cummins.

Does this adapter allow you to toast sandwiches on your exhaust manifold?

What are you up to? I think if you talk to Amsoil, they have that type of adapter for the bypass oil systems. Not sure...

What are you wanting to add? There is already an oil cooler in the block, and if you are adding bypass filtration, you can do that right out of the top of the filter bracket.

Ya I want to add a by pass filter. I don't want to make a hole in the pan or the valve covers for return, and I was trying to not return it back through the oil fill cap.

Woodrat's right, I don't know of anyone that makes a sandwich adapter for the 5.9, and I wouldn't recommend it, if they did. here's how I did mine, not too hard if you can fabricate brackets and drill holes 'n stuff:

Oh yeah, the return hole. my truck had the bypass stuff already installed when I bought it, so i didn't have to be the one to drop the oil pan..

wonder if you could put the oil return in the side of the timing cover somehow, although a valve cover would be easier.

Ya I like that. That is a nice clean way to return the oil, and the cap is not butchered. Sooo, how was the fitting in the oil fill tube made? Ya I just went back and looked at that again, that is real nice. I could feel comfortable with that one.

Just drilled a hole, threaded in a 90deg. barb with loctite, scuffed it up with sandpaper around the outside and smeared JB weld all over it. That tube is just plastic, so no biggie at all. I'm gonna shoot some flat black paint on there so it looks a little cleaner one of these days...

Here is another simple way of doing it. It's the route I am going to take, just need the time to gather the pieces.

10um nominal? That's not a bypass filter. One nice advantage of returning the oil like I did is you can visually monitor the flow rate. This is helpful in fine tuning and determining when it is time to change the element.
