HX-35/12cm EX.
Hey guys I bought a turbo that is a hx-35/12cm wastegated. I hope that it will bolt straight up. The down pipe I'm sure will need to be moved back an inch or so. Is there any thing else I need to know on this?
Can you set the acuator for a specific boost relief?
Thanks, in advance.

you'll need to pick up an adjustable "boost elbow" i think i spent less than $10 on mine... then you can set it wherever you want! and yes it will bolt up other than moving the DP back a little.
Ok time for the million cent question.... How does one "move" the down pipe back an inch or so? (Way too familiar with the 2nd and 3rd gen trucks still
)
I've asked various questions regarding this same swap on a few other threads and i'm learning more and more each post... so thank you all masterful 1st genners!

TJE to adjust your wastegate actuator, shorten the rod to increase opening pressure. Use a regulator and shop air hooked to the actuator hose to simulate boost pressure.This is easiest before you mount the turbo, as you may have to take the actuator off to adjust it. 35 psi is not a bad setting. your pretty close to max efficiency with the hx 35. Keep in mind boost can still build after the wastgate starts to open if you have the fuel to do it.
