Phoenix Gear Shops?

Can anyone recommend a good shop in the Phx area for gear swaps. I may need both front and rear going from 4.10 to 3.54.

Currently I am tossing around a Gear Vendors vs. a gear swap.

5speed trans, 235 tires, at 70mph I am doing 2341rpm. I do not tow but when I do it is light, what I really need is more topend.

The highways around here are 75, and living in the west the distances are great.

I ran the numbers tonight, comparing costs on gear changes, bigger tires, lift kits, etc. What I found is for a little more $ the Gear Vendors is probably the best solution for what I need. It allows me to keep the 4.10's with the stock suspension and 235 tires (which I prefer) and still gives me some good speed without sacrificing any potential towing ability.

There trucks are getting scarce and when you find a good one you need to pull the trigger. For me this truck had everything I was looking for, except the 4.10's, but this truck was way too good to pass up.

So I guess the next question is, anyone have any experience with the GV, are you happy with it?

Actually I am in North Phx, I do not get down south much and have only had the truck a week.

Still need to take some good pictures, this is all I have for now.

Unfortunatly no, but once I saw it, the car fax, that it was a one owner, and was clean (not cleaned up) throughout I made the plunge.

It was not cheap but try and finder another one owner, 5speed, buckets with 103K, anywhere.

Pheonix folks

Nice trucks guys............I just picked up a 92, 4x4 one owner truck out of Pheonix. Will be picking up towards the end of Sept. The owner budged on his asking price, so i'm pleased, even though I haven't seen it in person yet.

Hard to find a truck up this way that year without the usual rust issues, so its worth the trip!!!

Nope

Mike:

Its a blue one with a cap on it. First saw it on Pirates and it got posted on the "other" site, so I figured I better make an offer.

Never been to Pheonix, so looking forward to the flight down and the trip back. Just have to make sure the "little" things are done so the beast can make the trip north.

This one has a small eletrical issue with the tail lights. Hope its "small"

I love my dually, but unless you have a load on her she pounds you. The new truck will be my daily driver and the dually will be for the occasional drive and work related trips.

D1ESEL, 3.54's will work perfect for what you want to do. I run that with 33's, and 75 is right at 2100.
Did that one come with a tach, too?

Featherman, replied to your email, too.
