I have a set of NOS or lunch box hub caps that have a rough silver material applied to the inner sections around the outside. My 93 original set of caps don't seem to of had this silver material on them, so I'm curious if anyone knows if these with the silver material was used on certain year models for these trucks?

 

Never have seen them before, but they look to be in very good shape. Hold on to'm.

 

I have seen them in pictures on a few other trucks. I got them from a guy who worked at a dealership and seemed very knowledgeable and told me the name of the material, but I forget what it was called. I just assumed at the time mine had just came off, but after looking closer, don't believe my original caps ever had it. Yes, this set doesn't appear to have ever been installed on a truck, they are mint.

 

I have a couple of those style hubs in my collection. I am not sure why a few of them got that textured painted[?] sections on some of the hubs.
