Why?

For the money I don't think you can beat the HTT Stage III.

I have a HTT stage IV built and waiting to get swapped in. I cut the back plate myself and saved some money. Did a rebuild while I was in there too.

Have you ever tried an HX35 on your truck for comparison? I was under the impression an HTT Stage III H1C will flow quite a bit more air than a stock HX35, so not sure that HX35 is going to be any better or even as good as the hybrid.

I'm not sure what size compressor wheel the HX35 has, but I think it's 56mm. Upgrades from HTT are available in 56mm, 58mm, 60mm 8-blade, and 60mm 6-blade for the H1C. They all come with MWE slots too. Basically, if you put a 12cm housing and a stage I kit from HTT on an H1C, it will differ from the HX35 only in the way the housing is held to the CHRA.

Info on HTT upgrades: 4 stages available: Stage I, 56mm; Stage II, 58mm; Stage III, 60mm; Stage IV, 60mm, 6-blade design for a little more flow. They will all have MWE slots, which will make the turbo whistle a lot more, and they all cost $198 except the Stage IV at $285. As compressor size increases, so does lag (though I've heard it's a slight difference). The upgrades are generally used to cool high EGT's down by a few hundred degrees, though it will depend on mods done. If you need any more info, I'd give the people at HTT a call.

The nonIC turbo has a 50mm wheel, I believe. Later H1C have 54mm, and the rest has been listed. So, going to even a stock HX35 will be an improvement.
