I know my 77 has the outside tank. I'd hate to see somebody go through all the trouble involved in putting in an interior tank only to find out it won't pass a vehicle inspection.
As of 78 the in cab tank was still an option. Dad's 78 crew cab had it from the factory.
Also, I have never heard anyone complain about fuel smells in that truck.

So that could explain the internal tank have been offered an option in 77. Was this in a 2 tank system? I double checked my 77 inside and outside and there is not a trace of a cab hole ever being repaired.

Just remembered the guy I bought ol' RAE off of had a 85 crewcab D350 1ton dually, cummins, getrag with gear vendors, white with saddle/tan interior. He is registered here on the DTR since this is where I found the for sale ad for my crew. Can't recall his handle....but he said he's over on the dieselbombers site mostly.

Did some searching and found him...his handle is Canadiancrawler. His last post was in Nov of 2010, and at that time his sig still listed my 84 crewcab.

So one more to ad to your list....
