I’ve tried to make a signature before and can’t figure it out. Or else I would have already, I haven’t done anything yet because my truck started having other problems. When you start it up the starter is stuck spinning if you turn the key back to shut it off the engine will stop running but the starter still cranks the engine over. The only way to make it stop spinning the engine over is unhooking the battery then it will be fine for a few times of starting. Then it will do it again been cleaning grounds and stuff my suspicion is the ignition switch

Thanks for the use of periods, commas and capitals letters. It does make it easier for us to follow along and offer help.

The ignition switch is a good guess. Or maybe the starter relay on the drivers side fender?

Yes, definitely makes it easier for us old folks to follow!

The starter relay would be the easiest, simplest and cheapest to swap out. Should be an easy test too I would think. I've done it plenty of times on gassers and without looking I should think the diesel would be the same or similar? All you really need is a test light.

Cheers,
