I just found a hole rusted out under the gasket of the rear window seal. How do you remove and what do you need to put it back in? Mine is a slider as well.. PS this is the window above the bed

 

Just peal the rubber gasket off the lip around the hole in the body and the window will come out. Stiff putty knife works pretty good to get it started.

Going back together I use some silicone lube and a 12 wire. Put the seal on the window and run the wire around the seal in the grove where the body goes. start one corner of the seal on the body then pull the wire around the hole to peal the seal into place. A second set of hands helps a lot.

 

you can Usually push the gasket and window out by hand starting in the corner and work your way out from there as for putting it back in use a small piece of rope and run it inside the rubber start the window at the bottom and as you work your way around have someone push against the window to get it into the channel

You can reuse the gasket as long as it isn't dry rotted or damaged.

No need for a sealant if the gasket is good.
