That would have ment that thay would have had to put a NV4500 in it!

acualy that could be the case becuse under warranty,after 94, thay got the covnversion kit to up date to the new(at the time)tranny!

I've heard 5 speeds with a "crawler" first gear like the Getrag referred to as a 4 speed. They call first "Low".

Neat truck, BTW. You don't see many Dodge tow trucks.

Some of the shift ***** say 1,2,3,4,OD. So maybe he is saying it is a 4 speed overdrive?

Around here about half of the used car dealers list the CTD as having 8 cylinders. I have tried to live with this but am afraid it is no good. Life will never be the same. Imagine a dealer who does not know much about what he is selling!

They call it Bull Low and until I changed to a 354 from a 411, that is what I considered it to be. Even 2nd gear (first?) was a brief encounter. I felt like I had a 3 speed with a tall first gear (3rd).

What makes this worse is that there actually is a 5.9 V-8 gas Dodge in many pick-ups.
