hotest coolant spots, need answers quick

Folks,

I'm converting to veggie oil (I'll be posting results soon) and I need to run hot coolant through various things to heat the oil up before it hits the injectors.

Where's the best place for me to T off the coolant? here's a picture with some numbers on it.

Thanks as always,
Tys

Coolant will be hottest at points 1 and 3. Return though 2 or 4. It probably will affect your cab heat if you tap there in the winter. You may need to do some valving to get both circuits for flow right.

Good luck with it.

Use a ball valve from Home Depot to modulate the flow between cab heater and heat exchanger for the bio.

thanks,

hey, there's a laptop at the shop! so I can check this all day. anyone else have input?

I'm not too worried about the heat; I'm in the Santa Cruz, CA area, and my wife can just suffer through the occassional cold.

#3 or the 1/2" pipe plug to the left of it if you don't want to mess with that coolant elbow and or want to run a nipple out of the unused 1/2" tapped port.
