hood release cable
I hope you installed one of these before you needed to use it, once it breaks you will find yourself damaging the truck trying to get to the release.
I am sure I could make a primary cable using stainless core and a nylon jacket.

I just bought a Ramcharger that the hood cable was ABOUT to pop.
I swapped it out with a good used spare before it broke.
It was down to the last two wires in the cable!
I have seen a hood where someone drilled a 4 inch hole in the hood with a hole saw to open the hood.
Yikes!
