WH1C, is this a good upgrade from stock

Guy has a fully rebuilt wh1c for $260 and i just want to know if its a good value for that or should I get a he351ve used for $300 instead.

What exhaust housing is on it? The 351ve is going to be better unless he has changed out the wh1c from it's stock form. Not much different than what you already have.

I wouldn't bother with either, go for a 351cw or hx35.

What's the ve or cw stand for and why is it better and I've heard an hx40 Is better than 35.

Cw is a fixed vane turbo. The ve is a adjustable vane. The adjustable lets it act like a small turbo down low then open the vanes and act like a big turbo up top. In stock form the ve is computer controlled but some folks have gotten around that. It's not easy tho.

I just put on a cw. WELL worth the effort it screams man.

Hx40 will flow more air than the hx35 but is known to be laggy.

The 351cw uses the same compressor wheel as the super hx40 (best of the hx40's) and a smaller exhaust housing so it spools quick.
